Friday!
The weeks where we release a brand new steel/pattern are usually of the crazier variety here at Baker Forge. This week, however, was pleasantly quiet for such an exciting drop being lined up. We needed a head down, grind-it-out type of week after the erratic results of hurricane Helene.
Fortunately, that head-down mentality brought forth a completely new pattern to release
this weekend, and as always, we’re thankful for our shop Lead, Jay, for the hustle to bring our customers something new, and resident test-blade Maker, Jordon of JB Blades for getting our test knife done so we can show off our dynamic new pattern. These two both play a major role in the creation and release of new concepts and we succeed as a result of their contributions.
As is common, a few guests came through the HQ early in the week as Coy & Jay’s uncles visited to see the progress of the company as well as our new space. As many know, Baker is very much a family-operated business and hosting and giving tours to the families of our teams is a great way to involve everyone in the successes, failures, and growth of the business.
Baker Blacksmith, Bob returned to work post-hurricane this week as well. His presence in our production makes a huge difference, not to mention his comic relief and light-hearted nature. Truth be told, Bob had a rough go through this storm and his approach and attitude following the devastation are admirable as hell. A team with folks like that at its backbone… that’s a winning team.
There’s never a shortage of bonding taking place around lunch breaks and after work, but this week the staff got a little something special as our resident gun fanatic and Head Engineer, Cole brought in his arsenal for a little team target-shooting. These common interests, and a love for well-made weapons are among our strongest bonds as a team.
Inside the Media
The Internet returned to the shop Monday and BOY did it make a difference. From basic communications to advanced online programs everything in our media process was impacted by Hurricane Helene. But with wifi restored, we can truly turn the page on our adapted approach and return things to their innovative and creative standard.
Stay involved, keep voicing your opinions on our Monday questionnaire, and most certainly stay tuned. We have a lot of entertainment coming your way soon!
Sneak Peek 👀
With the “welcome backs” and guest time out of the way early this week, the shop guys put their heads down and cranked out something extra special for you this weekend.
Some of the O.G’s may remember a “diamond” pattern we released several years back. The pattern was flashy, but somehow we knew it needed refining. An unforeseen upside to the storm was Jay, Coy, and Cole’s chance to get into the shop and mess with a few old and new concepts. The research and development time led to a new and remastered Diamond pattern that is SURE to knock your socks off. Paired with the sleek elegance of our BronzeMai Damascus Core, this drop is one for the books!
As always, BronzeMai Dam-Core in Diamond will drop on the website Saturday at 8pm EST and a FULL DAY EARLY for members on our Baker App.
