Welcome, Weekend!
It was as close to a typical week at Baker HQ as they come. The manufacturing team, often affectionately referred to as the ‘shop guys’, spent the first half of the week knocking out the last of another HUGE custom wholesale batch headed out the door to one of our esteemed clients. This aspect of our business has grown a great deal in 2024 and we couldn’t be more grateful for the consistency and stability it has produced for the company. As a result, we are empowered to innovate, experiment, and get creative with the retail side of production. This week was a perfect example of this hand-off taking place. Just as we rounded out the last of the wholesale order we dove head first into some very important continued R & D for a future stainless damascus layout we have been working on. This project has been at the top of our list and we’re thrilled to continue the headway toward bringing something new to our customers. To see the week’s results a little closer, join our “Baker Forge Virtual Headquarters” on Instagram where we upload a bit more of the “Behind-The-Scenes” style content surrounding our development!
While the manufacturing team was crushing it, administration was beginning the planning for perhaps the largest sale ever for this upcoming Black Friday. Besides the usual urge to provide y'all a discount around the holidays, we plan to use this sale as a chance to repay each of you for your diligence to our materials, reward you with some heavily discounted steel at a challenging economic time, and fuel your projects headed into 2025. We’d say “Save your $$$” as Thanksgiving is still a ways away, but we have perhaps one of the more unique and diverse drop schedules headed into November than we have ever had. So, although you may want to keep your plans open Friday, Nov. 29, make sure to stay tuned to the weekend drop over the next few weeks for some exciting new layouts!
Inside the Media
It was a unique week for the media team as content specialist, Waylon took some time off to go shoot a wedding this week. Not to be missed, Waylon somehow accomplished the entire week’s media on Monday. Now in Atlanta through the weekend, we can sit back and enjoy Waylon’s carefully crafted content roll out each day until his return!
Hidden within a strong week in content quality, a pocket dump video featuring Baker Boss, Coy goes up today that you are SURE to love. From a unique wallet made from our Elite CopperMai in Raindrop pattern by Jordon of JB Blades to a wild arm band from Entiat River Forge in a copper twist damascus, Coy has all of the coolest laminated steel products!
Last but not least, a little insight into our WILD Halloween post. “Jump Scare” was not the original intention, but we gave Waylon all the leash he needed for the Halloween content this season and he didn’t disappoint. If you missed it, check out Thursday’s post on socials. From the mind of our resident energy drink/ metal music fan, Waylon’s Baker Forge Halloween post.
