It’s that time of the week again, folks!
A high-pressure season for all of us at Baker HQ, this week seems to have flown by. Somewhere between Monday morning and Thursday night we truly lost a sense for time in the employee-wide flow that steadily carried us through this week’s long list of accomplishments. Among the usual weekly production, shop manager Jay had the guys running through several wholesale orders for some of our largest clients this week, and we excitedly sent off several pallets yesterday that are sure to be made into something special!
In addition, early in the week we received several 12”x12” beams, and all of the threaded hardware to start to visualize the foundation that will support our BIG new hammer. Digging and concrete preparations are scheduled for two weeks from now, and there is sure to be a video of the massive endeavor on socials for you all to enjoy!
Baker Boss, Coy, spent more than 36 hours crafting a last minute project fervently requested by a close friend Tuesday & Wednesday. The project, a decorative branding stamp designed to be used in an upcoming wedding ceremony this weekend, will be used to brand a piece of framed Cowhide. He made it from 200 layer damascus because, after all, that’s really all we have in a Damascus manufacturing facility. The antlers and letters are far more intricate in detail than we have seen Boss take on in recent history, but the results were STUNNING. We look forward to hearing how the celebrations go!
Getting Closer
Some significant progress was made this week on a massive Mosaic Damascus we’re working on for an upcoming collaboration. We’re stoked to debut it to all of y'all, stay tuned….
Sneak Peek 👀
The shop guys are bringing back Elite AuroraMai this week, but this time featuring our new TIGHT ladder pattern! "In the forge of adversity, where the hammer of life strikes the anvil of our will, we are not just shaped; we are sharpened. Like the steel you craft, true strength is not given, it is earned through the relentless pounding of effort, the heat of passion, and the cooling resolve of perseverance."
