High-fives all around! Somehow we made it a week without our fearless leader, Coy during his west coast escapades. All joking aside, it’s good to have the man back east after what certainly seemed like a very productive trip. In his place, Shop Lead, Jay Baker did a fabulous job keeping everyone on-task and hosting our drop announcement reels. The manufacturing team took the week to really crush the upcoming schedule of drops, not only
running a sizably larger batch of Stainless GoMai for the weekend drop, but also making significant headway on the next two week’s INSANE upcoming drops. You may have also seen our Tuesday video showing a little Behind-The-Scenes on our Coppermascus and Damascus stacking process. With such a skilled team behind our product, and the talents of Waylon on call, we enjoy bringing these little insight videos to our customers, showing you the back-end of our production, but also the attention to detail applied to each and every step of our production.
Coy’s return flight hit the tarmac in the wee hours of Tuesday and we assumed we might not see him till Thursday, but you can’t understate how much our guys love their
place of work. The Boss pulled up bright and early Wednesday ready to jump back into his day-to-day work with renewed vigor after a productive trip.
While in California Coy had the opportunity to jump on the Triple T Podcast, a long-time popular podcast for our community hosted by Jerid Sandoval of Echo Blades & Denis Tyrell of Tyrell Knifeworks. When we first began making the “Random Questions from the Internet” spinoff videos featuring our production staff it really seemed like quite the imposition to pull these dudes from their daily tasks to put them in front of a camera and ask the dumbest possible questions. Of course these clips were met with a HUGE reaction from our social media followers, and with time they became a staple of our media. The often-busy, always dirty staff of gents didn’t adore these sessions still. So it came as quite the shock when Waylon asked me during our Monday meeting if we might toss another round at the guys this week, as they had been asking about more videos of that style. Thrilled & excited we wrote up a few more quick questions we could ask them. The result is another hit reel, unfortunately excluding fan-favorite Cole Cambell.
With any luck we’ll get these videos back into the regular rotation, if even for a few weeks. We sure love them and I’m sure ya’ll do. Just glad the staff is coming around to them as well!
