Discounts, Maintenance, and Studio Work & DIAMOND is back! TFN

Ah, Friday! Although this newsletter marks the conclusion of our production week and often contains a summary of our work over the past handful of days, Friday is also when many of you check INTO your hobby-work for the weekend! In the spirit of that, we have some exceptional deals to accommodate this week’s Friday Baker Newsletter and we hope it serves as an inspiration to go get into your shop and make something AWESOME.

No week at the Baker HQ is complete without a fair amount of breakdowns and maintenance. This week was no different, early Monday we installed a brand new water system that will feed our blanchards directly. Over the past months at our new location we’ve had to drag a hose to feed these massive machines, but now fully installed, these crucial machines will rest where they are for the foreseeable future, offering a finish ground to each and every outgoing bar.

The manufacturing staff hit the ground running with a productive start to the week on custom orders, moving into the weekends drop layout for our retail customers, just completing the run before our furnace broke down. Thankfully our crew is well-rounded and experienced with the tools of our trade, and after a morning of head-scratching she's BACK.

Inside the Media

Late last week, Boss-Man, Coy, stretched his CEO privileges and surprised us all by dropping sneak-peek footage of some previously TOP-SECRET research & development we’ve been doing. As you can imagine, the masterfully created reel featuring our experimentation with Stainless Damascus was quite the “hit”, accumulating the largest views, and more importantly reaction in a few weeks. A “hand” for the Boss, we’re stoked about the future of this product and can’t WAIT to see what comes next, even if we see it when ya’ll do…

Waylon and our Baker Studios team had a busy week with an incoming piece and accommodating packaging coming in from Luke Falls of Barrel Falls Bladeworks. The final product, a reel showcasing another GORGEOUS chef knife from the Niagara-based Maker, was one of Waylon’s best and did great justice to another inspiring creation from Luke. If you’re looking for the best quality studio photos and video of your work, check out Baker Studios!

In another astonishing example of his skill, Waylon took on a quick shoot for Justin Burton at War Crown Forge. His newest piece - a massive Damascus Gladius was truly a sight to behold. But even without the product in-studio, we were able to take a picture from Justin and strategically edit, clean up, and apply the insane blade to a neutral and visually pleasing background. A service we are just beginning to promote; photo editing from afar! Check out THIS before and after.

"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday."
